How Do I Get Started?

You can reach out to me via text, phone or email to schedule your consultation. A consultation is a 15 minute complimentary call to discuss your concerns and hopes that motivated you to seek out counseling. We will also discuss scheduling needs and I will answer any financial questions as well. The consultation is important to determine if you and I are a good match. Therapy is a unique experience and you want to feel comfortable with your therapist. I want to be sure I am the best therapist for you. A consultation is required before your first session and is simple to set up quickly. Please note all sessions are conducted via secure video or phone and scheduling is done directly with me.

How Do I Pay For Sessions?

Billing is provided via the online secure platforms Headway or Alma. These 2 sites provide insurance verification and billing as well as private pay collection via credit cards. I can help you get this started and it is very simple and quick! You can do this before we meet to determine the cost of therapy or I can assist you. If you are out of network with me, or choose not to utilize your insurance, you are able to utilize the private pay rate.

What Will Happen During Our First Appointment?

Sessions last 50 minutes but your initial session may be 1 hour. Our first session will be spent getting to know you, gathering information, and determining what brings you to therapy. Therapy is your process and you will not be expected to discuss anything you aren’t ready for.

How Often Do I Attend Therapy?

The cadence of sessions is determined by many factors but most importantly, your schedule, your ability to attend and what issues you are bringing to the table. Initially, weekly or every other week is recommended to build the therapeutic relationship but there is no set requirement. After we meet, I’m happy to make a recommendation.
